How to successfully apply for TA PLD from the MoE
In more detail here are the steps you will need to go through in order to successfully obtain your PLD from MoE accredited PLD providers, like us here at Sharp. Kinane Limited.
In order to access your $1000 worth of PLD you will need to go through the following steps:
In the first instance, you will need to get approval from your supervisor, tumuaki or principal.
You will then need to get your primary ESL account holder in school to set up your ESL account on your behalf. This is the link to the ESL site to set up your account. You will need to provide them with the email address of the person approving your PLD (the approval email will go to them). You will also need to provide your employee number, this is on your payslip.
Once your ESL account is set up, you can browse the courses and the providers who will be delivering them here.
When you have made your choice of course(s) you will have to apply to join them here.
Once your application has been approved, you and the person approving the PLD at your school will get a copy of the approved application.
Once your application has been approved, the person who approves the PLD in your school will then contact the relevant PLD provider(s) to ensure that you are enrolled onto the PLD you want with the provider you have selected. You will need to provide this person with a copy of your approval letter from the MoE and the Application Reference Number (ARN)
Separately, the school will be re-imbursed, once you have completed the PLD, for the wage costs of your attendance to your chosen PLD.
